F-5 VISA is referred to as 'Permanent Residence VISA which is allowed to engage in any legal activities.

*1. F-5-1 VISA:
You are considered an adult under the 'Korean Civil Law', and you or your dependents have abilities to support the family financially.
Also you must be well-behaved and have basic qualities, which the Minister of Justice finds appropriate to continuously stay in the Republic of Korea.
You have stayed in the Republic of Korea on a D-7 visa (Supervisory Intra-Company Transfer visa) to E-7 visa (Special Occupation visa) or on a F-2 visa (Residential visa) for at least 5 years.
*2. F-5-4 VISA:
You are a spouse or an underage child of a Korean national or of a F-5 visa (Permanent Residence visa) holder who has stayed in the Republic of Korea for at least 2 years.
Also you have applied for the Permanent Resident status as you were born in the Republic of Korea while your father or mother was a F-5 visa (Permanent Resident visa) at the time of your birth.
*3. F-5-5 VISA:
You are a foreign investor who made an investment worth $500,000 and you have hired at least 5 Korean Nationals in accordance with the 'Foreign Investment Promotion Act'.
*4. F-5-9 VISA:
You have been conferred a Ph.D degree in foreign countries and have been hired by a Korean company at the time of your F-5 visa (Permanent Resident visa) application in the field of high technologies.
(IT, Bio technology, Environment etc.)
*5. F-5-10 VISA:
You have been conferred a bachelor's degree in particular fields designated by the Minister of Justice and have a technical license who has stayed in the Republic of Korea for at least 3 years, and you work and get paid by a company designated by the Minister of Justice when you apply for F-5 visa (Permanent Resident visa).
*6. F-5-11 VISA (Point System):
You have an excellent talent in a particular area such as Science, Management, Education, Culture and Arts, Sports, which is recognized by the Minister of Justice.
*7. F-5-15 VISA:
You have been conferred a Ph.D degree after completing a graduate school in the Republic of Korea and have been hired by a Korean company at the time of your F-5 visa (Permanent Resident visa) application.
*8. F-5-16 VISA:
You have been staying in the Republic of Korea for at least 3 years on a F-2-7 visa (Point based Residential) visa while your ability to support ourself financially, basic qualities and good conducts are recognized by the Minister of Justice to live in the Republic of Korea continuously.
*9. F-5-19 VISA:
You have invested in Korea for at least 5 years after you have been given status.
You, your spouse and child have basic qualities, ability to support yourself financially and good conducts which are recognized by the Minister of Justice to live in the Republic of Korea continuously.
*10. F-5-24 VISA:
You have been staying in the Republic of Korea for at least three (3) years on D-8-4 VISA (Startup VISA), attracted at least KRW 300 million and hired two Korean employees or more for 6 months, and satisfy other qualifications designated by the Minister of Justice.
*11. F-5-26 VISA:
You hold D-8-1 VISA (Foreign Investment Enterprise) and have been staying in the Republic of Korea for more than three (3) years as an essential expert in R & D facilities with higher than GNI (Gross National Income) double of previous year's income.
