F-6 VISA (Marriage VISA: F6비자)→ F-5 VISA (PR: F5비자 영주권)
F6 VISA is a Marriage Migrant VISA and has 3 types (F6-1 VISA, F6-2 VISA and F6-3 VISA).
If you hold F6-1 VISA, you have a chance to change F5-2 VISA (Permanent Residence VISA for a Spouse of Korean National), if you meet the below requirements;
*1. Basic Requirements:
(1) You have stayed in Republic of Korea for at least 2 years as a spouse of Korean national with F6 visa;
(2) You continue to be married to Korean National (F6-1 VISA) or Your Koran spouse has died or been declared as missing by a court ( F6-3 VISA), or You have divorced or separated from your Korean spouse or you can prove the fact that the fundamental causes for the divorce or separation can be found in the Korean spouse o(F6-3 VISA) or You are still raising the kid born between you and your Korean national even though the marriage has been discountined (F6-2 VISA);
(3) You either choose a bank statement which proves you have had at least KRW 30 million won in your bank account under your name or your dependent's name or a proof of you or your spouse's employment which proves you or your spouse have (has) regular incomes;
(4) You are well-behaved and have basic qualities such as necessary Korean Language skills to continue your stay in Republic of Korea. (F6-1 VISA: TOPIK Level 1, F6-2 VISA & F6-3 VISA: TOPIK Level 2 but there will be Korean interview even though you have enough TOPIK scores.)
**2. Usual Processing Period:
Usually within 8 months.
***3. Naturalization from F6 VISA (Processing Period):
Within 11 months if you have a child born between you and your Korean Spouse. Except that, Naturalization processing period will be within 19 months from the date of application for Naturalization.
