<<Upcoming Part time Rules for D-2 VISA or D-4 VISA Holders>>
Starting from October 1, 2018, there will be a huge change for part time working on D-2 visa or D-4 visa holders.
1. D-4 visa (language course): Required at least TOPIK level 2;
2. D2-1 visa (associate degree course) & 2nd year of Universities (D2-2 visa): Required at least TOPIK level 3;
3. 3rd year of Universities (D2-2 visa) & Master course (D2-3 visa), PhD course (D2-4 visa): Required at least TOPIK level 4.
However, each of D2 visa or D4 visa holders, who may not meet the required TOPIK level as the above, may work as a part time during holidays, vacations unlimitedly and are allowed to work only within 1/2 working hours.
(*Basic part time working hours are as below; D4 visa (after 6 months from the status of stay in Korea), D2-1 visa & D2-2 visa holders: 20 hours/weekdays; D2-3 visa and D2-4 visa holders: 30 hours/weekdays)
(*However, the above part time working hours exclude in holidays and vacations except for D-4 visa holders.)
Also, D-4 visa holders need over 90% of attendance rate, and D2 visa holders need at least Grade C or above.
