Spouse Permanent Residency VISA (F-5-4) for Spouse and Minor Children of Main Permanent Residency VISA (F-5) Holder
A spouse or minor child(hereinafter referred to as 'Spouse') of a person with Permanent Residency VISA(F-5)(hereinafter referred to as 'Main PR') can apply for Permanent Residency VISA(F-5-4)(hereinafter referred to as 'Spouse PR') if he/she has been in Korea for more than 2 years.
Previously, in order to obtain Spouse PR(F-5-4), a spouse of a person with a Main PR(F-5) had to change to F-2-3 VISA, which is a spouse visa of Permanent Residency(F-5).
However, a spouse who is obtaining not only F-2-3 VISA but also D-7 VISA to E-7 VISA and Residency VISA(F-2) holders can apply for Spouse PR (F-5-4) 2 years after a Main PR(F-5) has obtained Permanent Residency VISA(F-5).
The basic requirements are as below:
1) The Main PR must obtain Permanent Residency Status(F-5);
2) Maintaining legal marital relationship for at least 2 years;
3) Completion KIIP Stage 5;
4) Previous year's Income shall be GNI*1 or higher.
The previous year's income can be combined with the Main PR and his/her spouse.
