Ministry of Justice has announced updated E7-4 VISA policy as below.
*1. Extension:
(1) E-7 visa holders from E-9 visa before Aug. 1, 2017:
New points based skilled workers visa (E-7-4 VISA) shall be applied from Jan. 1, 2019. So, when E-7 VISA holders want to extend their visa period, they shall meet E-7-4 VISA criteria from 2019.

(2) Current E-7-4 VISA Holders: When they want to extend their visa, they need to meet new criteria of E-7-4 VISA. As you know, when your birthday passes than when you applied for E-7-4 VISA, your points would be reduced, you need to get additional points to meet current E-7-4 VISA Criteria.
(3) If you hold E-7-4 VISA throgh an excellent Korean employment, your E-7-4 VISA shall not be extended when your number of Korean employment is reduced. In this case, you may change to current E-7-4 VISA to a job seeking VISA referred to as D-10 VISA. See details about D-10 VISA below.
**2. Change of Work Place (Company Change):
(1) If your working contract with current company is expired, you may have a chance to change your workplace. However, if you want to move to another company after current company's contract is finished, your new company shall meet the employment requirements.
(2) If your company is a difficult situation such as worse business situation, closing the business etc. during your working contract period, you may have a chance to change another company.
(3) If you want to change your current working field to another one such as agricultural field to manufacturing field, you need to have enough points about new working field.
***3. Change of Status of Stay:
(1) E-7-4 VISA holders may change to D-10 VISA (Job seeking visa), and you may extend maximum 6 months (3 months*2 times) ONLY. After that, you don't have any chance to change E-7-4 VISA from D-10 VISA.
(2) When you change your D-10 VISA to E-7-4 VISA, you need to E-7-4 VISA points based on its Criteria.
(3) If your new company has been hired with E-7-4 VISA holders, your visa change or change of workplace may be limited.
