Some expats have wondering about how to check their visa permission after application in one of domestic Immigration Offices in Korea.

There is a simple way to check your VISA permission status through putting in some information as below.

1. Visit to Hi Korea website and select the 'Language' as English on the top-right side of Hi Korea website.

2. In the middle of that website, there is 'HIKOREA Favorites Service' section. You may choose "Check the authorized period of stay' section and click it.

3. When you click it, you may see the guide how to insert your passport number, country selection, date of birth on that page, and then click the 'Confirm' section after all information is completed.

4. You may check your 'Period of Stay Valid Period'.

However, unfortunately, there is just giving information of your 'Valid period', so there is no other information on your VISA type etc.

So, you may compare with your current VISA status period and 'valid period'.

If your 'valid period' on the web page is different than your current visa's period of stay, your application for extention or change of VISA has been permitted.
